During your training at the hunting school of your choice, you will learn a lot about the topics that hunters have to deal with. If you acquire a broad knowledge here, you will have an easier time later in the examination and in practical hunting. The Heintges learning system is one of the learning platforms available. Constantly check your knowledge with the Heintges hunting flashcards or with exam questions via an app, such as the Heintges hunting trainer app. Alternatively, Paul Parey-Verlag also offers corresponding support with the Jungjäger app. This is the only way to keep your knowledge up to date and accessible. Observe the hunting legislation of the federal state in which you want to take your hunting test. This will help you avoid mistakes with hunting and closed seasons.
If the framework conditions allow, set up learning groups. Mutual questions and explanations of subject areas help to consolidate knowledge.
Young hunters in training
Start looking for a good hunting community and a suitable hunting ground for the time after your hunting license test while you are still in the training phase. But which hunting group is suitable? Make sure that the distance between your future hunting ground and your home is within an acceptable distance. Who wants to drive 100 km home after hours of hunting at night?
It is also important that you find a good common basis with the hunting ground owner and other fellow hunters. And perhaps you will find a fellow hunter who will act as a mentor to help you take your first steps in practical hunting. Because it is clear that learning does not stop once you have successfully passed your hunting test. Hunting is a craft and that takes experience.
